Most holidays had been spent in the Midlands
Astounded by the scale of the big Asda
suckling on the mad scent of the covered market, in mild bliss and ignorance.

Later– came fresh anomalies
Where she laid out like sheba under a hotter sun
shedding tears onto unfamiliar teracotta
Turned by the  stink of an oiled up waiter and regret
Lingering in a small mouth,
Taking too much time off hot hands, that paddled furiously in the deep end.
